The yoga I teach…

Yogic philosophy is woven into all classes to inspire, invoke insight and ground each practice in the teachings of yoga.

Hatha

A slow paced style with static holds, including āsana (posture), prāṇāyāma (breath control) and dhyāna (meditation). Rooted in traditional practices, Tantric techniques such as mudrā (gesture), bandha (energy lock), kriyā (action) and māntra may also be included. Explore the depths of yoga to strengthen mental, physical and spiritual awareness.

Ideal if you want to experience the practice beyond the poses and deepen your understanding of yoga and your Self.

Vinyasa

This is often a fast paced, dynamic style with breath-led āsana (posture) as the main focus of practice. Also known as ‘Vinyasa Flow’, movement builds from slow and nourishing to dynamic and energising as each pose flows seamlessly into the next, synchronised with the breath. Drop into a meditative state, uniting the body, breath and mind as one.

Ideal if you want to experience movement as meditation and increase your sense of embodiment and presence.

Hatha Flow

A unique fusion between Hatha and Vinyasa. This is a medium paced style offering a balance between flowing transitions and static holds. Including both classical and creative āsana (posture) along with prāṇāyāma (breath control) and dhyāna (meditation). Cultivate balance between strength and softness, stability and ease in both mind and body.

Ideal if you want to experience the best of both styles and simply increase overall strength and awareness in mind and body.

You can really tell how much Hanine loves the practice, and her positive energy is contagious! It’s so nice to be taught by someone who has such a great knowledge of yoga and its history! I leave the class feeling re-energised and ready to take on anything!
